QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Ritchey Enterprises maintains a corporate philosophy founded on dedication, service, quality and a positive attitude with respect to our performance and relationship with our clients.  As such, we have been involved with Partnering and Quality Assurance since our inception and attribute many client relationships to this concept.

Our goal is to ensure 100% client satisfaction derived from effective and efficient project performance intended to achieve completion on schedule, within budget and in accordance with the plans and specifications.  Ritchey Enterprises is internally structured with a Quality Assurance program implemented through a concept of team management and member partnering.  A team approach facilitates contract management by encouraging the foundation of a cohesive partnership per job or client, the Engineers, subcontractors, vendors and other project members.

Our internal project management team is supported by the principle who is involved in all aspects of the project, from owner negotiations to budget and cost control.  The organization of the project team is also coordinated by the Principle.  Team members include the Project Manager, Project Assistant and an On-site Project Superintendent.  Our “hands-on” management approach enables all the members of the project team to provide the highest level of support and communication possible.  Open communication among all parties enables us to be responsive and flexible to the needs of our clients while at the same time providing continuity in approach.

Our focus on quality service is based on providing a sole point of client contact from project estimating through construction and punchlist.  A quality project starts prior to initiating construction.  From the early stages of the job, the Project Manager and Superintendent will review the scope of work and schedule requirements.  We will conduct constructability reviews to ensure use of materials, systems and elements that will facilitate the efficiency and safety of the construction process without impacting the building’s functional or aesthetic design.  Other areas we monitor include document coordination, product tolerances, alternate construction methods and subcontractor qualifications.

Quality Assurance is also employed in the field through a team management approach.  Subcontractor selection is one of the most critical components.  We will solicit trade participation from pre-qualified subcontractors.  Criteria for pre-qualification include quality of work and track record for successful completion on similar projects, responsiveness and commitment to our project’s needs, competitiveness: ability to meet the schedule and budget requirements and financial strength.  Performance, schedule and quality requirements are specifically outlined prior to contract award.  Jobsite quality checklists and performance will be monitored and reviewed on a weekly basis throughout the duration of the job.  Sample checklists are provided immediately following this page.

Effective communication among all team members fosters a thorough project understanding and clear objectives for its successful completion.  Effective communication, in turn, depends on the compatibility, openness, clarity of requests, timely response and accessibility of individuals.  We are particularly sensitive to this issue and will play a leading role in creating an environment that encourages effective communication.  Leadership is vital to ensure maximum results in a minimal timeframe.
